Landscapes of the city The geographical feature of the city is quite unique. It consists of five boroughs namely Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Besides the Hudson River, there are a number of other lakes and rivers too. St. Lawrence River also flows through this city. The world famous Niagara Falls is also located in this city. Counted as the 27th largest city in the world, the total area covers about 54,556 square miles. A part of Appalachian Mountain also comes under this city. Recently there have been abrupt changes in the landscape of the city. Modifications in the landscapes of the city As discussed earlier one can easily notice some changes in the landscapes of the New York City. The changes are very significant too. As landscapes in NYC have a very vital role to play, the recent changes seem to be quite good. In 2017 the people of the New York City will experience a lot of changes. There is going to be luxury skyscrapers at 220 Central Park South of the city. Thus people will be closer to nature. The building is estimated to be about 66 stories. The construction work is already in progress. People will be able to purchase housing complexes at affordable prices. However, one of the great achievements in the year 2017 was the construction of Second Avenue Subway. At Present the subway has been extended up to 8.5 miles along Manhattan’s east side.
